Description
Absolutely beautiful wooden box belonging to a Sargent in the 17th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Brass plate on front indicating the Sargents name was " P. Lewis " the 1890s were a tumultuous time in politics leading up to the Spanish American War and the end of the Indian Wars. Just a great looking piece of Military history!Condition: In excellent antique condition with great looking patina. Opens and closes perfectly fine. If this box could talk I can only imagine the stories it could tell! Measures approx 13 X 7 1/2 X 5 1/2"
