Indications for use:
MedHeal™ Silver Alginate dressing is intended to manage partial and full thickness wounds with moderate to heavily exudate, including:
Trauma wounds,
Pressure ulcers,
Diabetic ulcers,
Leg ulcers,
Graft and donor sites and
Post-operative surgical wounds.
Product Description:
MedHeal Silver Alginate Dressing is a pliable and absorbent fiber dressing made of calcium alginate high in Mannuronic acid. MedHeal Silver Alginate turns into gel when in contact with wound exudate and delivers cool and comfort sensation. The dressing maintains a moist environment to facilitate the wound healing. The in-vitro results demonstrate the impregnated silver delivers a broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against Gram-Negative and Gram-Positive bacteria, commonly associated with wound infections: Staphylococcus aurous, Streptococcus pyogenic, Enterococcus facials, Escherichia coli, Klesiella pneumonia and Streptococcus pyogenes. MedHeal™ Silver Alginate Dressing can be cut and trimmed to fit the wound bed and can be removed intact without causing trauma or a secondary damage to the wound bed and surrounding area.
