    Description

This is a 2005GTO automatic with the Sport Appearance Package (SAP), red with black interior,21k miles.
It is equipped with aftermarket data link rearview mirror and comes with 2 copies of the original dealer brochure (one for the shows, one for the file).
Also the window sticker, manuals, copy of original TX title and other documentation will be included with the sale.
2005 GTO descriptions are available from other sources so this description is about my GTO and me.
I am a senior citizen that bought my first GTO in 1963 when most of the Pontiac dealership salesman I visited asked “what is a GTO” when I told them that I wanted to order a GTO.
One salesman at a small town dealership east of Oklahoma City said “you will need to talk to the owner”.
Both the owner and the salesman were about 50years older than I was so I didn’t expect much but the owner says “you want to drive one?”
Somehow he had managed to get a pre or early production GTO dropped off at his dealership between dealer showings and I drove it.
Jim Wangers told me that Pontiac didn’t let dealers have these vehicles so this was apparently an under-the-table deal.
Since that time I have owned and sold a number of GTO’s from the1960’s.
Most of them I restored in the1990’s along with our 2 sons who still own theirs.
We have also owned five Australian built GM cars including this GTO and our current daily driver 2017 SS.
This GTO was sold new in March of 2005 by Frank Kent Pontiac-GMC in Fort Worth TX.
I purchased it from Freeman Pontiac Buick GMC in Grapevine TX on Sept. 5,2005.
It had been used about 6000 miles when I purchased it.
I was retired from my full time job and bought the GTO mainly for enjoyment but did drive it occasionally to a part time job, appointments and club meetings.
Its main usage was car shows and events in Oklahoma and Kansas.
It has accumulated few miles in the last 10 years but I kept it serviced and drove it some during this time.
Oil changes and tire rotation have been DIY with the latest oil change (5W30 Mobile1) in June 2021.The trunk lid support struts were also replaced in June 2021.
One of the two key fobs had a broken button so the case and battery with that key are now new aftermarket items.
It has never had a flat tire that I am aware of and the tires are probably still inflated with some Australian air.
I am not aware of any mechanical issues with this GTO.
There was an issue with the door locks back in 2006 that turned into a big issue because this VIN had a 0 in the security code.
This was fixed by the local dealer under warranty but it took about 3 weeks.
Everything has been good since then.
There are minor cosmetic issues. On the drivers fender above the wheel, there is a small scuff that should come out with rubbing compound. Near that area is a small chip that could be taken care of with a little touch up paint and polishing.  Passenger fog light has a minor scuff that should polish out with plastic polish. The undercarriage is fairly clean but could use some detailing. One rear seat backrest stitching is loose near the headrest. Our son had a 2006 GTO where every seat had the stitching come apart. He fixed it himself and reported it wasn’t difficult. The seats come out and apart fairly easily.
I just can’t do it anymore.
The only body repair that I am aware of is to the front fascia where I filled the Texas tag mounting holes.
I am getting old and need to reduce my obligations so am not interested in trades.
    I like cash.
High bidder pays 0 deposit when auction ends and the remaining in good funds before the car is released and title transferred.
I will take a check but the car doesn’t leave before the check clears.
It has a clean Oklahoma title.
